Builder Blog, week of Sep 21: pick one stop, not every stop
Week of Sep 21, 2026: a Lookup through an order's stops or tasks returns one record's value, plus Xero and QuickBooks export changes and a board load fix.
A Lookup on an order that reached through its stops used to come back with every stop’s value, or whichever one it found first, so a builder who wanted the first pickup’s city in its own column needed a formula workaround or an engineer. This week, a Lookup built in Object Builder that crosses a one-to-many connection, such as an order’s stops or tasks, shows Element selection: choose a Sort by field, a Direction, Ascending (lowest first) or Descending (highest first), and a Position (0 = first), and the field returns that one record’s value, the first stop or the latest task, instead of the whole list; field types shows where Lookup sits among the other fields. The table below also lists Xero exports that send the rate from Settings › Exchange rates and read back cleanly for reconciliation, QuickBooks pre-export workflows in integrations, rate confirmations that print their Terms again, and boards that load when Chrome wrongly reports you offline.
